PIRLS 2021 Countries Develop Items and Scoring Guides in Taipei

PIRLS 2021 countries gathered in Taipei City, Taiwan, in December to review reading passages and draft achievement items for the field test. The PIRLS 2021 2nd National Research Coordinators Meeting was hosted by Taiwan's National Academy for Educational Research, and Nan-Shyan Chu, Chief Secretary of Taiwan's Ministry of Education, delivered the welcome address. Representatives of participating countries indicated their preferences among the proposed reading passages and developed items and scoring guides throughout the week.
